A Faithful Servant, Leader, and Family Pillar

With deep sorrow and heartfelt gratitude to God for a life well lived, we remember our beloved brother Ezra, whose earthly journey came to an end after a courageous battle with cancer. Though his passing has left a great void in our hearts, his legacy of faith, service, and love will continue to inspire generations to come.

Ezra was more than a family member; he was a pillar of strength, wisdom, and unity within our family. He carried the burdens of others with compassion and always extended a helping hand to those in need. His life was a shining example of selflessness, humility, and unwavering faith in God.

Within the church, Ezra served diligently and passionately as the Chairman of the Christ Adoration Choir where he provided exceptional leadership, encouraging members to use their gifts to glorify God. Beyond the choir, Ezra faithfully served in various leadership and ministry positions within Kisii New Life SDA Church. His willingness to serve wherever needed demonstrated his deep love for God and His people. He was respected by church members for his integrity, wisdom, and commitment to advancing the work of the Kingdom.

Even during his illness, Ezra remained steadfast in faith. He faced his challenges with courage and hope, trusting in God’s grace and sovereignty. His testimony became a source of encouragement to many who witnessed his strength and perseverance.

Perhaps the greatest heartbreak left by his passing is the loss experienced by his two young sons, who are now left as total orphans bearing in mind his beloved wife Ellen already passed on 3 years earlier. As his younger brother Edgar speaking on behalf of Obiero family I say we miss them dearly but we will always cling to the hope that there is life beyond the grave.

Though Ezra is no longer with us physically, his impact remains alive in the lives he touched, the ministry he strengthened, and the family he loved dearly. We thank God for the gift of his life and celebrate the eternal hope we have in Christ.
